Optional coverage

Besides the basic liability insurance coverage policies, you can also purchase some extra policies. These are not mandatory under the Tennessee auto insurance law. Collision and comprehensive coverage are the most common among such types of coverage. Collision coverage pays for damage to your vehicle because of collision with an object. Comprehensive coverage on the other hand, pays for damage to your vehicle from almost any other causes.
